About

Amy has worked exclusively in the mental health field with Kansas Community Mental Health Centers since 1994. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University in 1995, where she served as Student Government President (1993–1994) and co-founded the peer education group Gorillas in the Mist. She went on to complete her Master of Social Work at the University of Kansas in May 1998 and became a Licensed Master Social Worker the following month.

Amy obtained her Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Work (LSCSW) credential in 2001 while working at Area Mental Health Center in Garden City, Kansas. That same year, she returned to Pittsburg and joined the outpatient department at Crawford County Mental Health Center. In 2009, she was promoted to Clinical Director and later became licensed as a Clinical Addiction Counselor in 2013.

Amy has extensive experience supervising future mental health professionals, including six bachelor’s-level practicum students, eight master’s-level interns, and ten clinical-level supervisees. Her part-time roles have included hospice work, providing group therapy for convicted sex offenders through DCCCA, and offering trainings for Employee Assistance Program contractors.

She is a certified instructor in both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid and has taught over 50 classes, certifying more than 700 students. One of her recent accomplishments includes acquiring Sawyer, a facility dog who accompanies her to work daily.

In July 2026, Amy Glines was appointed Interim Executive Director of Crawford County Mental Health Center while continuing to serve as the agency’s Chief Clinical Officer. She previously served as Project Director, leading the agency through the process of becoming a fully Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Since joining CCMHC, Amy has also held roles as an Outpatient Therapist, Clinical Director, and Deputy Director.
