Behavioral Justice Services

Crawford County Mental Health Center is committed to helping individuals become mentally well, adjusted, and contributive to their community. We aim to provide Behavioral Justice Services to help individuals who are suffering from mental illness or addiction in lieu of incarceration when mental health or addiction treatment is more appropriate.

Restoration Treatment

Restoration Treatment is the process used when an individual charged with a crime is found by a court to be incompetent to stand trial, typically due to an active mental illness or an intellectual disability. The defendant must be restored to competency before the legal process can continue.

Crawford County Mental Health Center is excited to offer competency restoration services in our local community. This service was previously only available through Larned State Hospital. Local competency restoration services will begin in 2024.

    Competency To Stand Trial

Crawford County Mental Health Center provides competency to stand trial evaluations for individuals who have entered an incompetent to stand trail plea.
