Pittsburg, Kansas — Crawford County Mental Health Center (CCMHC) is proud to announce a new project supporting clients moving out of interim housing. The initiative, titled “Welcome Home! A Little Something for a Smooth Transition,” includes five types of starter kits, each tailored to meet specific client needs during their transition to independent living.

Many clients come to CCMHC with few possessions, limited financial resources, and no reliable support system. Because of this, these kits contain essential items to help individuals settle into a safe and stable home. More importantly, the kits help ease the transition, offering comfort and security during a difficult time.

This effort was made possible through generous funding from the Knights of Columbus Endowment Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK). Their support ensures that clients facing mental health challenges do not walk the path to recovery alone.

CFSEK manages charitable funds established by donors who are passionate about giving back to their communities. Through its grant programs, the foundation delivers critical resources to organizations and individuals throughout Southeast Kansas.
