Pittsburg, Kansas — Crawford County Mental Health Center (CCMHC) is pleased to welcome Stacey Bacon to their agency.

Bacon is licensed in the state of Kansas as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Additionally, she is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Bacon earned her Master’s in Nursing from Pittsburg State University in 2008, and later obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Washburn University.

During her tenure at the Bryant Student Health Center, Bacon cared for all mental health medication management patients, as well as general medical patients — working closely with counseling staff to manage patient needs.

“I am very excited to start a new journey with Crawford County Mental Health,” said Bacon. “I look forward to being able to join a team that is focused on expanding services and meeting the needs of those in our county who could benefit form mental health care. The expansion of programs and the general energy of this team makes me confident that we will accomplish great things together.”

She continued, saying, “I am thankful to be able to stay in my home community and use my talents to meet people where they are in their mental health journey.”

Bacon will join CCMHC’s current APRNs, Sandra Anderson and Cheryl Lemmon, in caring for patients. In her new role, she will provide psychiatric medication management to children aged 5 and above.
