Same day access
We are excited to offer Same Day Access!
Crawford County Mental Health Center is committed to providing quality and timely care and services to our community and the surrounding area. As part of our Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) transition, we are proud to offer same day walk-in appointments for initial assessments, screenings, and referrals, which will decrease the wait time to access mental health and substance use treatment services. This initial assessment will be done by a qualified clinician, and will determine your need for mental health and/or substance use treatment services. Both adults and children are seen at Same Day Access. No appointment is needed!

Ready to start your mental health journey and want to speed up your admissions process?
Fill out one of the following admissions packet, whichever is the most applicable to you, and bring it with you to Same Day Access! For families, each individual that needs an intake will need to fill out their own separate admissions packet. If you have any questions during this process, please call 620-231-5130 for assistance.
What to bring for your visit:
What can you expect upon arrival?
Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out paperwork by the front desk staff and will then meet with a patient navigator. The patient navigator will identify risk factors and determine triage level, go over registration paperwork, review financial aspects of services, and orient you to services while answering any questions. The patient navigator will schedule an intake with a licensed clinician, as available. The intake clinician will complete a biopsychosocial assessment, determine clinical severity and needs of each individual, recommend services and make referrals as appropriate. The Same Day Access process can take up to two hours, or more, depending on your unique needs and clinic volume at the time of your walk-in.
