Crawford County Mental Health Center (CCMHC) and FACT, Inc. are helping women at the Women’s Renewal House access essential clothing items as they continue their recovery and prepare to transition back into the community.
The Women’s Renewal House is a 24-hour residential facility that supports women recovering from substance use. Women completing treatment at the Addiction Treatment Center who need additional time, tools, or resources before safely returning to the community may receive Reintegration services at the Women’s Renewal House for up to 60 additional days.
During their stay, women continue reinforcing the skills developed through Intermediate Treatment while working toward important goals such as obtaining identification documents, securing employment, and finding stable housing.
Some women enter treatment with few personal belongings or basic necessities. Through the “Stay the Course” project, FACT, Inc. and CCMHC will provide access to new, personal clothing necessities. Meeting this basic need can help women move forward in their recovery with greater dignity, comfort, and confidence.
This initiative was made possible through a Women’s Health Fund Circle of Friends grant awarded through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas.
